Angie II Apartment in the Ethno Village

Beautiful views, a lovely apartment, and amazing hospitality! It’s a charming, private place where you can truly relax and unwind. The hosts are very friendly, and we even had a little gift waiting for us when we arrived. Their dogs, cats and kittens were also very friendly and absolutely adorable. The apartment was clean and exactly as described. The kitchen had been updated, was well equipped with everything needed for cooking, and even had a dishwasher. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back if we travel to Croatia again. I would give it ten stars if I could — that’s how much we liked it!

Veliki Godinj is an extraordinary place and one of our most memorable Airbnb stays. Staying here feels like living inside a piece of Dalmatian history: an old stone hamlet surrounded by the beautiful wild landscape of Biokovo, traditional stone walls, old gardens and cisterns, and an incredible sense of peace and authenticity. Our host made the experience even more special. She is exceptionally kind, warm and generous, made us feel genuinely welcome from the very beginning, and was constantly treating us to something during our stay. Her hospitality went far beyond what one normally expects from an Airbnb host. This is much more than accommodation — it is a place with history, character and a truly unique atmosphere. We would return without hesitation and recommend it as highly as possible.

An absolutely comfortable accommodation in a beautiful, quiet location. The accommodation is lovingly decorated and very clean. We didn't miss anything. Angelika welcomed us warmly and immediately surprised us with a stocked fridge, wine and treats. We were completely spoiled. If you are looking for peace and love animals and nature, this is the place to be. We will be happy to come back.

We had a great stay and felt really welcomed by the host. She even brought us some cake and stored some drinks and food in the fridge.

An absolutely lovely place to stay when in Croatia, beautiful scenery and could not ask for a lovelier host! We arrived a little later at night but were greeted with a smile and shown to the lovely accommodation which was spotless and equipped with all the essentials including AC (which was a godsend since it was very hot!) Angelika was super attentive, offering fresh watermelon and soup and we loved getting to fuss the dogs and cats roaming around! Definitely somewhere that’s perfect if you enjoy nature and being off the beaten track a bit, our first stay in Croatia and we would love to come back and stay again :)

I rarely run out of words when writing reviews on Airbnb, but this accommodation and especially Angelica's loving manner were something very special. Away from the hustle and bustle of the coast, you immerse yourself in another world that is a mix of historical past and modern-day amenities. Sometimes you get curious company from the dogs while eating, but they are very adorable. ;-) Angelica even lit the barbecue especially for us, and otherwise she makes sure you don't lack anything. We really enjoyed the coffee together, the conversations and the delicious soup she cooked for us.

What a unique and wonderful place. Incredible heritage, incredible views, so much nature to explore. The apartment is super cosy and pretty, plus very clean too and well equipped. loved fussing the dogs and cats. and best of all, Angelica was an amazing host. homemade treats, local produce, so generous and kind. We'd recommend to anyone who likes nature, peace, and something a bit different

We had a great time in this apartment, quiet, very nice! We were hosted very well, with a few small welcome gifts that made us very happy. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for the quiet of Croatia

Felt just like at home. When we arrive we were greeted by Angelica who is a saint of a host. Place is just beautiful and ever changing weather and light of surrounding mountains can be jaw dropping. Photos can’t really give the feel that you experience there. Place is remote, you need the car to experience region or just to travel for groceries or some restaurant. However there is plenty of free parking space on property. One thing to keep in mind there are animals on the premises. There is couple of dogs who can be aggressive. During our stay with our Whippet first couple of days where rough but in the end they learned how to live with each other. On top of that Angelica is very helpful dealing with them. What else is here to say? Place is as good as advertised if not better. Magic combination of Croatian landscape and amazing person that Angelica is makes this place one of a kind. Will definitely fully recommend staying here and will come back one day!

Angelica was very attentive to us. So much attention made us feel welcome. The accommodation, located at the entrance of a historic hamlet, is the perfect place to relax. And if your legs start to feel like moving, there is plenty to explore in the surroundings, which have a rich architectural heritage from the 18th century.

Staying here in this quaint Rašćane village located on the border of the Biokovo Nature Park was such a unique experience. Surrounded by the mountains and countryside and with the all the cats and dogs (that were all well behaved!) and with one of the lovely neighbours walking by with her goats while we ate breakfast was simply amazing. Angelica was wonderful and brought us freshly made bread and figs she had just picked and local wine. We drove to Biokovo and further inland to Imotski to the Red and Blue Lakes - both around 45 minutes away from this property. I would highly recommend this if you enjoy travelling off the beaten track.

It was great. Angelika is the most hospitable host there is! We completely relaxed and we were pampered by Angelika. It is a beautiful, quiet area and we have enjoyed the old buildings, the view, the tranquility, the animals (!!!!) and the indulgence of Agelika! The sea and beautiful swimming spots are easy to drive to from this beautiful, quiet, rural location. Next time, we'd like to stay longer.

The accommodation is located in the mountains, in a beautiful setting with dogs, cats, chickens, goats and in a quiet place. An incredible view. The place was decorated with care and taste! It is well-equipped and having come during a week of heatwave, the air conditioning was much appreciated! Special mention for Andelka who made our stay memorable, she showered us with small attentions (dishes, small sweets, wines and treats for our dog) she managed to integrate it with the animals around while it was not won! She is a lovely woman who is very thoughtful and warm. We'll be back for sure! In the surroundings, all the things to see or do are quite far away, being in the mountains there is a lot of road, you just have to know before :) Everything is great otherwise!

A really nice place in a very remote quiet location. At Angelika's, you immediately feel welcome and are also provided with treats from their own farm. The dogs and cats in the small village have also become our friends. You should have a car with you, the nearest shopping is a 15-minute drive. You can hike almost anywhere there. The nearest beach in Brela or Baška Voda is just 30 minutes by car. We liked it and we enjoyed the tranquility with the animals and nature. If you are looking for nature, peace and no action, this is the place to be.

Milka's accommodation is in the heart of a classified nature park, it's beautiful and there are no other noises than the cicadas. The accommodation itself is perfectly insulated, both in terms of sound and heat. With great bedding. And what to say about the hostess! Andelka is a sweetheart. Absolutely adorable, she greeted me with coffee without worrying about my delay caused by the plane. Every morning, she had a treat for the residents, and always a good place to swim or have lunch. We had a great time in Avignon! Thank you very much!

We had a fantastic experience with our host! The place was very clean and cozy, and we loved the peace and beautiful nature surrounding it. Angelika was very welcoming and nice. We arrived a bit late at night and she was there to welcome us with a smile, ham and a bottle of wine. She also gave us fruits and fresh eggs. The place was peaceful and perfect if you just want go relax and just hear the sound of nature. It was also complete of all the things you would need go cook your own meals. The dogs are also disciplined and seem to like people, even joined us for breakfast outside.

The apartment is very quiet and located away from mass tourism in the mountains, which gives it a special charm. Angelika's warm and extremely hospitable nature makes the accommodation very special.

Our stay in Rašćane was absolutely unforgettable. Our wonderful host, Andjelka took care of us so thoughtfully that we truly felt at home. The apartment had everything we could need, it was sparkling clean, cozy, and perfectly equipped. The village itself is just beautiful: peaceful, with friendly animals wandering around, fresh air all day long, definitely not your usual busy tourist spot. One of the cleanest and most serene places we’ve ever stayed. The closest beaches are about a 30-minute drive away. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Rašćane is simply a gem, one of the best experiences we’ve ever had.

Nice location if you like nature and tranquility, friendly Mother of Host. 1 small downside : we had a dog with us and there were 4 of them loose who came to our dog as a pack. Fortunately, we can handle something like this, but be aware if you bring a pet to this location.

The stay in this beautiful and quiet village was incredibly great. We immediately felt comfortable and at home. Our Anđelka was and is an incredibly great woman, a great person. She touched us and she and also the little animals, the little heartbreakers, don't make it easy not to come back.🥰 Thank you for this great time.

A beautiful stay in a place far from the inhabited world. Everything is completely decorated in romantic style, very cute. We also had our 2-year-old daughter with us; it was nice that this was allowed. Although with her there, it was still cramped and there was little to do at the cottage itself, but we could have known that :) The host was very friendly and especially fond of our daughter ;)

We had a great time at Angelika's. She is an incredibly sweet woman who does her best to make sure you are not lacking anything. We enjoyed the delicious fruits, vegetables, wine and meat. The apartment is very cozy, nice air conditioning ensures the right temperature while it was very warm outside. The animals were also very cozy. We made beautiful excursions in the area, such as Mostar, Krka waterfalls, beaches at beachbar Morska Vila (nice and quiet) and Ploče. You do cover a lot of kilometers, but the peace and quiet you always return to is worth everything. Thank you so much!!

The area is wonderful with stunning views of the mountains and no light pollution at night if you want to see the stars and the milky way. There are dog friendly beaches around the Makarska riviera. The accommodation was certainly unique, and our host was very hospitable and kind.

A great stay at this beautiful farm

Impeccable accommodation. Small peaceful village, very charming , secluded in the mountain. The sea is a 45 minute drive away. Angelica is an exceptional host. Very warm and welcoming. It always gave us good things to taste: melon, eggs, ham...it's adorable. For lovers of calm and serenity, I recommend this accommodation.

My wife and I can only say the best about Veliki Godinj. It was so infinitely beautiful and relaxing. This nature and this old little village are beautiful! Especially Angelika has grown so very close to our hearts! We have rarely met such a warm and loving person in our lives! She really makes you feel at home there. She is clearly the best host you could ever wish for! Etno Selo is the perfect place if you want to clear your head and have some peace in front of people and stressful city life. You get up in the morning and just have a good mood. Dogs, cats, and goats greet you every morning. Really pure nature! Angelika is a beautiful person! Once we arrived, she immediately made us feel at home with something to drink and stories about her small village. The astounding environment is beautiful, and the cute animals that roam around make the place a unique experience. It’s a really quiet place to get to know yourself. I highly recommend this place for people who are looking to connect with themselves and nature. It’s very quiet with no external stimuli. Make sure this suits you before visiting.

The 3 days at Angelika's place were just fantastic and highly recommended!!! She is so incredibly hospitable and welcomed us directly as if we had known each other for ages! We really enjoyed it and would be happy to come back!! If you arrive with dogs, you have to know that there are a lot of cats and 3 farm dogs on site.

We had the most wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Zupa! The setting was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking surroundings. Not to mention, the adorable cats and dogs on the property added an extra layer of charm to the experience. But what truly made this stay exceptional was the incredible host. She was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We were constantly treated to fresh figs and even some delicious wine, adding to the overall sense of hospitality. This Airbnb in Zupa is a hidden gem, and I can't wait to return for another unforgettable visit.

Angelica is a friendly and kind person, she gave us cold beer and water as soon we arrived there. We got also fresh fruits from the garden. Very calm and nice place, surrounded with beautiful mountains, even if it is hot nearby the sea the place is still chilly and very comfortable, also it looks very authentic unlike the typical hotels you can book, so we enjoyed it very much, the host is very friendly and helpful, ready to help and treat guests with local food and fruits

Something hard to find. Car is a necessity. Somewhat far to restaurants. But incredibly quiet and beautiful. Angelika was amazing. I'd like to come back. Got fresh tomatoes and cucumber from the garden. If you like mountains and hiking, there are plenty of opportunities in the area.

We really enjoyed our holiday in Veliki Godinj. It is a place where you can relax well. Angelika welcomed us very kindly with cold drinks and a few pieces of melon. She was always available for questions and was a very good host who even brought us zucchini from her garden, wine and home-cooked soup. The apartment is small, simple but practically furnished and even has air conditioning. The bed is very comfortable and the shower has a pleasant water pressure. The wifi signal is a bit weak as the router is in the annex. On site we enjoyed the nature, mountains and beach proximity, as well as the starry nights. In the village live four very dear dogs, cats, chickens, sheep and goats that sweetened our stay. Thank you for the hospitality, the nice time and the rest!

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful village and who knew we would get to practice our German in Croatia our host made us feel like family and the surrounding are gorgeous. It was fascinating to see the restored and unrestored buildings and really see how people lived. Fantastic! Highly recommend!!

If you like a family atmosphere in the middle of nature, this is the place to be. We had such a wonderful time and will definitely be back. So far, the best experience we've had on our big trip. The stay was over far too quickly.

We spent three nights there, and Angelika was just wonderful! She brought us treats every day, and when I wasn't feeling well due to a migraine, she even brought over freshly cooked soup. The village is magical. Surrounded by the mountains, it is truly a unique place! Our dog was also very welcome, was allowed to move freely everywhere, and over time was also accepted by the pack there (4 dogs). If you are looking for peace and nature, this is definitely the place to be!

Milka is a great hostess, not only can you arrive flexibly, but also the accommodation itself, attention to details. Rarely have I stayed in such a sweet place. Not only was a flat red wine ready, but also a water, some bread sausage and cheese were ready for me. I thank Milka for this warm welcome This 400-year-old village with its few inhabitants is the perfect place to come down. I can only recommend this place. ☺️🙏🏽

Lovely little apartment, great location if you want some peace and quiet but lots to do about an hours drive away if you have a car. Very generous host providing cakes, biscuits, ham, cheese and many more homegrown treats throughout our stay. The garden is theirs attached to their house but the apartment itself has a little table out the front which is lovely to eat at. We were also able to use the deck chairs in their garden. Fantastic stay in this little old village to get out into the countryside. There’s a trekking trail starting right from the village. And we climbed the 1200-meter mount nearby for a 8-hour walk, totally alone in the nature, coming across no one on our way. The accommodation is cozy and fully-equipped to do the cooking. Cause there’s no restaurant nor supermarket around. So do the errands before coming! Fortunately, Angelika and her daughter Sylvia are super hosts, always happy to help. We had a very warm welcome from Angelika, living here for the summer season. She offered us fruits, ham, cakes, wine and even local spirit! And Sylvia gave us a lift by car from Zagvozd cause we were on foot and there’s no bus going there. Finally, if you like pets, it’s paradise here! There’re 3 lovely dogs and 10 cute cats living in the village. And they’re so friendly with guests, following you everywhere to have a stroke… or a treat!

We are very glad we chose this place. It was a great vacation. Angelika was a fantastic host, staying here was a balm for the soul. We would love to come again.

An absolute gem of a place. Comfortable, clean and very serene. Angelika was super accommodating and friendly and ensured that we were well-fed and happy! If you’d like to experience an authentic village life, with the sweetest host, I highly recommend this location. The friendly 3 doggies are an added bonus. Particularly noteworthy is the warmth of the hostess, who helped ensure that we spent wonderful days in the accommodation - thank you very much for that and also for wine and eggs. Thank you very much, Angelika! :) The location is quiet and a nice contrast to Makarska, which is crowded in the high season, the bed in the accommodation is super comfortable, the bathroom with shower is tiptop incl. Water pressure and everything is wonderfully cozy. The refrigerator is large, the kitchenette with two hotplates as described rather small and equipped with the basic kitchen utensils. Those who ride up to the Skywalk in Biokovo and on Sveti Jure by bicycle/e-bike will be rewarded with spectacular views.

Our stay at Anðelkas was amazing! She is a very service minded and warm person and made us feel welcome right away! Our room was cozy and we had everything we needed. The area is super beautiful and we enjoyed the stars in the warm night :))

The photos are true to what you'll find. Angelica is very attentive... I was treated to an aperitif, cherries from the garden, and a bottle of wine! She bends over backwards to please you. Too bad I stayed there for so little time... The setting is beautiful

Great place to stay, very secluded with a lot of animals. If you want to experience the real Croatian peace and quiet this is the place to go. Host is super friendly, she surprised us with fresh vegetables, herbs and fruits. If we had known in advance the stay was this exceptional, we would have booked an extra week!

We had such a nice welcome from Angelica, the host for these Appartements. there are several animals on the farm, dogs, cats goats and sheeps. :) if you want to relax and enjoy the nature, this is the right place to go. We are planning on coming back at some day :)

Wow ! Magical ! We arrived after the rain and there were breathtaking views. The home was gorgeous and so well equipped with ham, cheese, bread and delicious wine. Bed was comfy and the hot shower with wonderful water pressure was fantastic. Do your self a favor and stay here !

A simple apartment in biokovo national park on the ground floor of a house in a old stone village. Not many people live there, but those that do have many amazing animals. Dogs and cats that greet you every time you arrive home, as well as chickens, goats and more. The town itself is worth a morning's walk around. Amazing access to many hiking trails and close to really nice photo spots (small EU sponsored huts). A little far from the coast, beaches and tourist towns, so if these are of interest plan your days and drive in and out once a day, or split your stay across different accommodations. Milka is an excellent host, even with the language barrier (if you don't speak German). A very pleasant and unique stay, in the heart of biokovo

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Milka's place. Communication was excellent and the dogs were very friendly too! It's a very rural location but only about an hour from Split and so it was perfect for us as we used it as a stopover on the way from Dubrovnik to Split.

We spent wonderful time here. Angelika was a great host and really took care of us. Upon our arrival we were surprised by snacks, wine, beer and fruit. She always brought some goodies for us and our little son. Son was thrilled with the animals in the village. Hens, sheep, goats, lot of cats and friendly dogs. Accommodation is beautiful, comfy and clean. Wifi worked good on terrace and near window. The village has genius loci with amazing surroundings Biokovo. Heritage House is as idyllic as described. We changed our reservation at the last minute as our arrival in the area happened sooner than expected. All were very accommodating with our change. Sylvia welcomed us to our room with cheese, prosciutto, fried eggplant, sweets, wine, fresh tomatoes. The hospitality and space were impeccable. As you arrive you will feel as if you're approaching a small village from the 16th century. Some buildings have been restored while others have been left untouched. The room and bathroom are very clean and modern. We highly recommend staying here, where you will feel the peace and tranquillity of the interior, mountainous portion of the Dalmatian coastline. Enjoy!

If you want to spend few days in the countryside, you found the best place! Lovely hosts always eager to help you, beautiful view from the property and nice surroundings, very close to the nature and animals: dogs, cats, goats, lambs and chickens. It was an exceptional experience! We couldn’t imagine be anywhere else.
