An Incredible Villa, Breathtaking Views, and Hosts Who Truly Feel Like Family! WOW! Where do we even begin? Villa Smaragd Opal was absolutely PERFECT, and our experience here couldn’t have been better! Our story actually started with a little travel disaster. We had booked another villa that turned out to be a complete disappointment when we arrived, leaving us scrambling to find somewhere else to stay. We literally booked Villa Smaragd the night before arriving, and what a blessing in disguise that turned out to be! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found something special. The property is absolutely beautiful, the views are breathtaking, and the accommodations were immaculate. Having our own private hot tub, access to a gorgeous swimming pool, and being less than a kilometer from downtown Makarska made the location nearly perfect! But what truly made this stay unforgettable were the HOSTS (Ruzica and Tea)! They went above and beyond in ways we never expected. During our visit, they were celebrating their son’s birthday and actually brought us some birthday cake to enjoy! How sweet is that?! And as if that wasn’t enough, one morning they surprised us with breakfast as well. These are the little gestures that turn a wonderful vacation into a truly memorable experience. We felt less like guests and more like friends or family. Villa Smaragd Opal was everything we could have hoped for and so much more. What started as a stressful situation ended up being one of the highlights of our time in Croatia. To our wonderful hosts, thank you for opening your beautiful property to us and making us feel so welcome. Your kindness and hospitality are something we will always remember. We would return in a heartbeat and recommend this little piece of paradise to anyone visiting Makarska! An easy 5 stars! ❤️ Now, if we absolutely HAD to find one little negative, it would be that the property sits up on a hill. Walking into town is a breeze, but walking back after a big dinner? Well, let’s just say we suddenly became big fans of driving! 😂 Honestly, we were just being lazy!
Luxury Apartment Opal is in Makarska. Between outings and trips to the beach, cool off in the shared pool. The accommodation has 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed. There is also a hot tub for a slower end to the day. The beach is about 900 m away.

Everything was simply perfect! The accommodation was modern, very clean and cosy. The pool area is an absolute highlight – ideal for relaxing. The hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful and warm. We felt at home from the very first minute and would love to come back!

Beautiful view from the Opal apartment with jacuzzi! Furnished with attention to detail; everything harmonised, including the pictures, sofa, tables, perfect kitchen and much more. Arrive and feel at home with the lovely hosts Ruza, Tea and Tommi, who took excellent care of the jacuzzi. Everything was perfect for us! 😍

Clean, new, well-equipped apartment, and the pool was also great. The panorama from the balcony is wonderful. The host was kind and helpful. We had a great time. The beach is far away on foot, so travelling by car is recommended.
