It was very nice for us. Very quiet and simple. We felt like we were in the open-air museum. And still had the comforts of running water and shower. The landlady was very friendly and accommodating and provided us with everything necessary, with food, with advice and action, with herbs and wine, etc. It was also nice to come back from the city to the tranquility of the small village. And also that you could hike away from the front door in Biokovo. We will be happy to come back! All the best! Axel and Margit

A very special location in old traditional village makes this one of the most unique places we've ever stayed at. The surrounding valley is wide and green and quiet, and right inside the Biokovo national park, with a couple of good hiking opportunities. We had an excellent time there, also thanks to our lovely host, and all the dogs and cats. Highly recommended!
Nice place in a remote area on the property of a very friendly host.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful, traditional stone house tucked away in what must be the greenest and most peaceful valley in all of Croatia. Nestled behind the mountains separating Makarska from the inland, it's a true oasis of tranquility - perfect for relaxing or working remotely thanks to fast internet and modern amenities. The house is tastefully renovated, preserving its Croatian charm while offering all the comforts you need. What made the stay truly special, though, was the lovely host. She lives nearby in the same family-run village and went above and beyond to make us feel at home - sharing local tips, speaking fluent German (a big help!), and even bringing us fresh tomatoes, eggs, and bread when we arrived late on a public holiday with empty stomachs. The next morning, she welcomed us with traditional Croatian coffee. We absolutely loved our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene and authentic experience in Croatia.
Truly wonderful for people who want to enjoy a calm and relaxed atmosphere. We felt right at home from the start. It was very tidy and cleanly furnished, and the kitchen had everything you need. There were lots of animals, which always greeted you right upon arrival!! We were pampered by her mother from beginning to end!! A truly kind person!! Enjoyed the time very much. We will be happy to come back. Jody and Sven
Angelica, the owner of the property is the kindest Airbnb host we’ve ever met. The place is absolutely stunning and peaceful, but bear in mind, that the closest beach is about 35-40 minutes by car, and the closest restaurant is a 20 minute drive. Since my girlfriend is pregnant we didn’t go hiking, but Sveti Jure (the highest peak) seems to be a good spot to enjoy nature. The small “village” is peaceful, the dogs are cute, we would go back any time!
You’ll find a beautiful old village, hidden between the mountains. You can enjoy the silence, the view, the friendly people and lovely animals. It’s easy to go to the beach, do a mountainwalk or visit a city. Let’s surprise you with food, drinks and other souvenirs from the neighbour(host).
Very clean and in a wonderful mountain setting. Very cool historic buildings and area.
We had a great time in Rascane. The small village is very special and the stone houses are beautiful. But the best thing is certainly the magnificent hostess (Angelika), who provided us with all kinds of delicacies and with whom you could end the evening with a glass of nut liqueur. We will be happy to come back!
It's a beautiful and relaxing place with kind people and lovely animals.
The communication with Angelika and Milka is super uncomplicated. Angelika is super nice and her dogs are absolutely lovely and adorable. However the place is a bit overpriced for the low and very rustic standard.
If you're looking for a slightly more remote retreat in the middle of nature, this is the perfect place to be. The hospitality of Angelika and Silvia is outstanding! They took care of us very lovingly, with tips, drinks, ice cream and even a barbecue together. We had a great time and would come back!
Jako ljubazni domacini, super priroda, odmor za dusu
It’s absolutely outstanding place- rustic village with only local people live in 16th century houses The stars I saw there were probably more brighter then in Nepal. The host Angelica welcomed me as warm as it possible. I enjoyed evening wine and morning coffee with her. Croatians are very kind people, I love the country, and I really enjoyed the calmness of this place. It’s only about 20 minutes drive from the coast, and the unbelievable experience.
It is one of the best places I have ever visited: incredible silence, beautiful views and surroundings but first of all the most fantastic people. Silvia and her Mum are great hosts, they took care of us and we felt better than at home. The apartment is very clean, well equipped and very cosy. We will come back there for sure!
A very peaceful place! The apartment is nice and quiet, the host a very kind person. It's a bit out of the way but if you need peace it's the perfect place!
There is something magical and quirky about this place, but also warm, lovely, and relaxing after a week touring the tourist crowded coast. Our hostess could not have been more friendly and accommodating, despite the fact that she doesn't speak English and we don't speak Croat. She does speak German and with the help of Google translate we got on just fine. She was generous with her time and with many things, like letting us use her BBQ to grill chicken (she even started the fire!) to offering many tasting treats ( fresh figs, grapes, homemade cake, etc., etc.) The apartment is small, but has all the necessaries (except for a washing machine). The little stone village is part living history and part ethnographic museum. There are a handful of residents, several sheep and a goat, chickens, cats, and some very friendly dogs. The mountains rise up on all sides. Go there relax and experience life the way it once was. The wifi worked very well, too.
